Sunset at Lake Thomas, April 14, 2014

In addition to watching for the full moon rising on April 14, I also got in this spectacular view of the sunset at Lake Thomas!

Lunar Eclipse/Blood Moon of April 15, 2014

I was so interested in witnessing the lunar eclipse/blood moon of April 16, 2014 that I stayed up until 4:30 AM to see it! I was not disappointed!

Sundog/Sunhalo sighting in Winter Haven, April 16/14 at 2:05 PM

My neighbor excitedly called me this afternoon to go outside (with dark glasses on) to view the 'rainbow' that surrounded the sun, so I excitedly did just that, with of course, my camera in hand. It was so unique and unusual, I felt privileged for the opportunity. The only disappointment was that I could not photograph it in its entirety as it was too large to fit inside the frame, so I only have partial frames.

White Pelicans, Woodstorks, Vultures and Racoons at Circle B Bar Reserve 01-26-14

We specifically went to Circle B Bar Reserve this morning around sunrise time (but was overcast and cool and we didn't see the sun pop through the clouds until we were preparing to leave at around 9:10 AM) to view the gathering of White Pelicans which others have seen recently.

While we didn't see them fishing as a group, there were oodles of Pelicans all over the lake. We spent nearly an hour observing them in 2 separation spots.

Enjoy the videos

Bob joked that we spent sooooooooo loooooooong observing the pelicans that moss started growing on my bike! :)

We saw 4 scampering raccoons on Alligator Alley but only got to quickly film these 2

I liked the water shimmering with the reflection of this tree

A Winter Haven December 2013 Sunset

While working on my computer this evening in my lanai, in a nice 75F temp, with a beagle laying on my right and a yellow lab laying on my left, I lifted my head and gasped at the beauty right in front of me.
These photos' location is SW Winter Haven, near Eagle Lake.
